Our Story - A truly social enterprise

At Kilat Kilat, we’re more than just a cleaning business. We’re a social enterprise dedicated to empowering underprivileged women. We believe that every woman deserves a fair shot at success, regardless of their background or circumstances. Our corporate mythos is derived from our company name , KILAT, which means to Polish a person and turn a stone into a gem.

One of the key ways we empower underprivileged women is by providing job opportunities that allow them to support themselves and their families, lifting them Out of poverty. We believe that meaningful employment is essential to achieving financial independence and breaking the cycle of poverty. That’s why we work with local communities to create jobs that are sustainable, fair, and empowering. Many Malaysia SME tends to overlook and neglect wellness of their women employee in the name of profit and earnings. We built our entire career path and program surrounding the life cycle of a women from the age of 18 to retirement. Whether they are at the stage where they are anxious about their first job in a city of they’re not familiar with, facing pregnancy and building a family, or simply having to endure the pain of menstrual cycle, we take care of our employees first. Besides that, Kilat Kilat is remunerating way above the minimum income set by government to provide our employees a fair and sustainable income for them to have a decent life outside of poverty.

But we don’t stop there. We also provide training, mentorship, and support to help women build the skills and confidence they need to succeed in the workplace and the society. By investing in their development, we’re not just creating jobs, but building a strong, capable workforce that can drive economic growth and positive social change. All Kilat Kilat employees were given opportunities to equip themselves with new skills such as technical aspect of equipments, financial literacy, language skills, entrepreneurial knowledge to add value to them as a whole, not just for the daily task. Our employees are our most valuable assets.

Kilat Kilat is a social enterprise, we’re committed to using our business as a force for good.
